Yama was, according to the Dyon cults, the king of the Dya-ma pantheon and ruler of all that was throughout his many thousand year reign.
History
Worship of Yama began over 3,000 B.E.A. with 13th century scholars believing Yama may be an "evolution" of the much older god of Muzu who fit much of the same profile. The first cult to ever publicly consider themselves a cult of Yama was the proto-Dyonistic cult know as the "Men of Druzle", who believed Yama to be a servant god to Druzle, the bringer of salvation. Yama was the chief god in the kingdom of Zumal, whose influences spread as far east as the islands of Kalha and Tulha respectively. As such, the islands, which follow a Varnic religion has shades of typical Melic religions. Most notably, the worship of a god known as Zuma, who is nearly idenicial to Yama.
In modern day, Yama is revered, not as a god but as a symbol of righteousness and leadership. The image of Yama wielding the Head of Kuzul is often worn by well-respected generals and kings.
Mythology
Birth
Unlike his "siblings", Yama was not born from the body of Klatuu but instead was among the spirits found in the Abyss of the psyche. His actual birth process was never known, but the wisest of gods Yaknozle theorized he was among the many spirits birthed from the fear of all mortal things. He would further believe that Yama was born from the fear of a hero of "the other side". Yama was rescued from Yanuh when the spirits were unleashed and nursed him to death, forging him a body out of Klazii
Theology
Sky-fathers
Many believe Yama to be among the long line of "Sky-fathers", being a successor of the Myth of Muzu family and is generally seen as the one who ushered in the "God king era", though that honor arguably goes to early depictions of Klatuu, who was depicted as the lord of gods.
Etymology
* "Ma" means "of importance". It's a corruption of "Mu" or "Mu-a" which often meant "to respect" in Muzic cultures
* "Ya" means "to be".
* "Kla" means "to create"
* "Tuu" means "many"
* "Zii" means "foundation"
* "Ku" means "the first"/"original"
* "Zul" means "creature"

History
Early life
Aveal was born in the Nulla Nulla forest to two 3rd-generation Varnan immigrant parents. Aveal's early childhood was a loving one, however, it wasn't a long-lived one. Both of her parents died in an hunting accident. After quite some time of living alone, Aveal was discovered by her aunt and uncle after they grew worried for her family, as they didn't attend their wedding like they promised they would. The young couple took in the girl and raised her in the city of Tunda as if she was there own. As is tradition in Tunda, Aveal received a basic military training starting at the age of 10 and later picked up a job at the early age of 12, as a delivery girl.
During one of her early training exercises, Aveal was tasked with bringing supplies to, and then looking after, an orphanage during a bad storm. There, she befriended the orphans and in particular, grew close to Mona Hunik and Toma Jawol. Afterwards, Aveal spent the majority of her free time at the orphanage, teaching and playing with the orphans and growing a strong familial bond with Mona and Toma respectively. After some years, Aveal got Toma and Mona jobs at the delivery company she worked for.

Personality and traits
Aveal is a kind-hearted, caring, friendly, mostly easy-going, slightly bubbly and dim young woman. She truly cares for Toma and Mona as if they were her own siblings and loves the rest of her friends dearly. Although pacifistic and good-natured, Aveal has little tolerance for people who openly try to cause harm, whether physical or emotional and will oftne chew them out or resort to fighting if she has too. She has a lions heart and will do anything to protect others from harmsway. Aveal doesn't like fighting however, and tries to help people in other ways too, such as bringing supplies, working as a diplomat and simply being there for others.
As a child raised in Tunda, Aveal was taught how to fight from an early age in order to defend herself in the chances of Tunda ever being invaded. As such, she's a capable hand-to-hand fight and swordswoman trained in the techniques of fencing. Given her gentle nature, Aveal was also taught in the ways of healing and magic.

The history of the Olden Days has become largely unknown n recent years, after the great cataclysms that rocked the world. Many of what we know of of the ancient history of humanity exists through scarcely surviving texts and oral traditions. While these texts give detailed descriptions of great heroes and villains and massive battles, they often exaggerate events to mythological degrees.In fact, many of these texts even contained "epilogues" of history, a history what was yet to be if you will. Of course, many of theses texts were nonsense...
...And yet, they also agreed on many points. Texts written from hundreds of years apart by cultures who never even met, nor did they ever meet civilizations who met each other, contained strikingly similar stories, myths, legends and historical figures. These myths and figures often went by other names, and had different contexts, yet key details remained the same. Many historians have given this event the whimsical title of "The Great Mystery of History!" as even my elders have trouble making heads and tails of this stuff.
The following is a humble attempt to piece together a hypothetical chronological history of Humanity, starting from the Shamanistic period to the dawn of the Early Heroic Age.
Dear lord what have I gotten myself into?
-Mona Hunik, Royal Historian of Tunda
Chapter #1: The origin of man
The Orphri people were an odd bunch, much of their existence seems downright anachronistic to the modern eye. Despite having no obvious religious buildings, they clearly practised organized religion long before anyone else, and despite having no paper or chiseled stones, they developed a complex writing system using berry juices slate.
Today, the proto-civilization is mostly well known for having the worlds oldest known writing system, dating back to about 6,000 B.E.A with what many linguist have dubbed the "Orphi script". The script has gone untranslated, however, a later revision of the script, dated back to around 4,500 B.E.A. has been semi-translated, as the script used by the Dyon civilization used more-or-less the same system with the same glyphs. While the translation tells their stories are far from accurate, we were able to decipher the basis of their stories from this method.
Anywho. The following is an abridged version of the Orphrite creation myth as transcribed by fellow historian and a good friend of mine, Putark.
In the first days, before the lights in the sky shown, before the grass on the world grown, there was a single tree who lived in the middle of everything. When the tree became aware of his own existence, the tree grew lonely, so he spread his roots and birthed more trees, creating the first forest. However, the trees themselves grew lonely, and so they created small animals. However, it was to dark for the animals to see, so the trees created the lights in the sky, but it became to cold for the animals to live, so the trees create the big light in the sky. The animals lived in harmony, but soon grew bored, so the trees created the flowers, the grass, the mountains, the lesser forests and the rivers.
However, the trees felt as if they animals grew content with simply playing and eating, so they created a new species. The species of man. The first men were raised by the animals, but humans faster than expected. Soon, the men split into many tribes, and as generations past, these tribes became more distant from each other. Humanity forgot its creation as beings of the First Forest, but the trees desired this; they wanted humanity to usher in a new age upon the world, much as they did all those years ago. As time went on, several tribes forgot the existence of other humans, and believed themselves to be the only ones. However, the tribes would eventually come in contact with one another, some were as savage as Big Animals, others were as gentle as Small Animals. These contacts would become the first wars which left a permanent mark on the world.
During this time, the First Forest began to wilt. Slowly, but gracefully dying. Though saddened by how savage Humans and Animals became in its later years, it passed on with the peaceful notion that humans would soon usher in a new age for all life.
Upon the death of the First Forest, the collective temperament of humanity halted as they were flooded with memories of the First Days. All tribes traveled back to the middle of the world and prayed at where the First Tree grew from, with a child named Vafa planting a seed f a new tree. The tribes decided to stop fighting, and forge larger tribes, together, humanity ushered in a new age of all life, such as the trees did all those years ago.
More of Putark's writings can be found in the book Stories from the Olden Days which is a transcribed version of countless ancient myths such as that. Putark and I both agree that the aforementioned myth may not be the true creation myth, but a distilled and watered down version told a thousand years after the fact. We came to this conclusion by the exclusion of Byr, the Orphrite underworld, which appeared to play a large part in their mythology, and missing elements of the story such as the creation of the "Big Animals". Likewise, other figures of Orphriite mythology appear to be missing, such as Dya-pa and the Forest Gods of Monkey and Jaguar.
However, what makes this myth so integral to the history of Amenia is the description of the First Forest and First Tree. An incredibly similar story was told in an Varnan culture known to us as the "Hailo-Hele culture". While their language and culture is lost, ancient campsites depict a seemingly mythological tree on the center of a common depiction of the Varnan world view, that being an endless ocean from which islands are pushed up from the "Great Below". Other depictions of "God Trees" have been depicted in various ancient cults as well, but all have been ruled as simply being derived from the well-traveled Orphrite people, however the existence of the tree seen in a Varnan civilization much older than the Orphrites, dating to around 9,000 B.E.A., and on the other side of the world, as left many of us perplexed.
Another similarity between ancient Orphite religion and other religions is a similar world view. While today we know our world is but a planet in endless space, they believed the world to be of infinite land and ocean. They believed the world wrapped around, like a sphere, and they lived inside of it. This same idea can be found in Old Varnan mythology, Hazu mythology and even in the pre-Eko cults of Allondaland.
More of this is also explored in Putark's book. I guess at this point I can say this book is a companion piece to his work, huh? Haha.

I guess at this point I can say this book is a companion piece to his work, haha.

Could this all just be one coincidence, or did ancient man know more than we do? Or did they dream more than we do? WE can never say for sure, but we can hypnotize and theory. This same idea can be found in Old Varnan mythology, Hazu mythology and even in the pre-Eko cults of Allondaland.
But what existed outside of there sphere? If we continue the belief that somehow these ancients had similar mythologies, the answer may lay in the myths of the Klama people. The Klama were oddities as well, they believed they spoke the 'language of the stars', and that there culture was the greatest culture, for they were in contact with "starmen". Though generally peaceful, a lot of historians believe they spread unfortunate stigmas against other cultures of the time, whether out of malicious purposes or believing there own hype is still debated however. But let's not get into that right now, let's dive into their believes.
Klama cosmology was similar to Orphite, but different in key areas. They too believed the world was in a round, sphere like object, but they knew the world was just a singular planet and the orb that surrounded them was something far more complex. Many have interpreted this as an archaic description of the universe itself, which had lead some to believe they truly did have contact with "starmen" like they claimed. Additionally, they believed that outside the walls of the Sphere laid "Klakla", the world of all creation. While the name may sound silly to us, keep in mind that in the Ma-Romic language family, "Kla" roughly translates to "to create". Therefore, "Klakla" essentially translates to either "To create creation" or "To create what is yet created". They believed the residents of Klakla worked to create mechanisms that, when placed on planets, would forcefully structure the evolutionary process on that world with over billions of years of foresight. These mechanisms, nowadays referred to as "Life Machines" were gone over in extreme detail in the Writings of Huzu the Wise. Since the original script was lost, all we have is paraphrased versions of it recorded through oral history.
In short, these machines were placed on barren planets by the aforementioned Starmen in order to create the life. These machines did so much more, however. The writings claimed that they would create the sun and moon around the planet at calculated distances to create the perfect conditions, then gradually create an ever-shifting eco-system by manipulating the rotation of the planet and the weather the planet experienced. It was said that every day, every single natural event, was planned in advanced by these machines. Later writings even went as far as to say these machines would create special people and monsters in order to change the course of history once again.

Later writings even went as far as to say these machines could manufacture special people and monsters in order to change the course of history once again.
Now all of this would be pure mythology it if weren't for one very strange incident that happened not to long ago, when I was still only a kid.
About ten years ago, me and my two best friends, Aveal Turniga and Toma Jawol were proud wanderers of the Meglomenia countryside, embarking on adventures, helping others, that type of thing. Well, one day we heard a legend of the "Unicorns mechanism", a mysterious object said to be located somewhere deep in the depths of the Pearly White Mountain, a strange mountain of a shelly-white color located near the small town of Druza. Locals claimed that a machine that's been operational sense their distant ancestors first discovered it, never once turning off, never once stopping. They could never quite figure out what the machine did, but weird things always happened around it. During nights of the full moon, reports that strange creatures slithered out from the depths of the mountain were commonplace and the dreams of the residents would always involve the world they collectively knew as "Clairon".
Some of the locals believed the machine to be the cause of the towns infamous weather that doesn't make sense, and for why the geography of the mine just 'isn't right'. When a town militia attempted to destroy or turn off the machine, they all reported a sense of overwhelming anxiety. One farmer likened it to a feeling where you no longer believe you're in charge of your life, that almost every decisions you've made was somehow decided for you by something you can never look in the eyes.
Of course, we were idiots back then (and probably still are to this day...) so this story seemed like something to explore ourselves. <TO BE WRITTEN>
